I am an artist who lives part of the year in the DC area and part of the year in Taos. As is the case with most artists who step foot into New Mexico, I was magically drawn to Taos for the scenery, the light, the culture and the international flavor that is found here.
I have exhibited nationwide with one-person shows and many group shows. I spent about 20 years teaching at the Corcoran College of Art and Design and Catholic University and currently teach at The McLean Project for the Arts in nearby Virginia. I have also done several workshops in Taos for my East Coast students.
I have a BA in Art History and an MFA in studio art.
I have studied with many well-known artists, such as, Gene Davis, William Christenberry, Leon Berkowitz and Alfred Leslie, and by virtue of my Mother, with Thomas Hart Benton who studied with him and passed on his knowledge to me.
I am exhibiting my work from August 3-September 20 at the Taos Center for the Arts.
